The commercial department have an opportunity available to recruit a new accounts assistant  to work on the day to day chasing of current and aged debts to our construction partners throughout the northwest . The role involves working in a dynamic and active working environment with a cohesive team of commercial and accounting colleagues. The role will specifically entail the review of chasing debts current and aged and controlling debtor days.

The Role:

  • Review and chase current and aged debts – application & general invoices.
  • Reduce and control current and aged debts.
  • Reconciliation of customer accounts.
  • Send customer statements via email.
  • Raising invoices and applications and credit notes when required.
  • Electronic filing.
  • Allocation of cash.
  • General problem solving and ad – hoc duties

Who are we looking for?

The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • Experience of Microsoft Office products particularly excel and outlook.
  • Experience in an accounts role and strong excel skills.
  • Confident strong communicator both face to face and on the telephone.
  • Self-driven and good attention to detail.
  • Salary is dependent on experience.

 

  • Holidays are 28 days PA inclusive of bank holidays.
  • Hours are 37.5 per week with 1 hour lunch break.
  • Full Training will be provided.
