Main Purpose of the Job

Due to growth within the Commercial division, an opportunity has arisen for a Part-time Business Development Assistant working 21 hours per week Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 9-5pm based at our head office in Rainford, St Helens.

We are looking for someone with a Telesales background preferably with B2B sales experience.

You will be responsible for developing new business relationships which will grow sales across our 10 branches. The role requires someone with confidence and a hard working attitude. You will report directly to the Business Development Sales Manager who will guide you on the growth strategy for the company.

The Role:

As Business Development Assistant your duties will include:

  • Research, build data and engage with potential new businesses and contacts
  • Lead generation and follow up
  • Co-ordinate data within the Barbour database
  • Assist with other marketing duties as and when required

The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • Experience working in a telesales environment
  • Proven ability to hit targets
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • The motivation to sell intelligently and develop their customer base
  • Ability to quickly pick up product information and inform customers
  • An understanding of Microsoft Office and basic level of computer literacy
